Which Treatment Option Is Right for You?

Based on your specific condition, your surgeon will determine the best type of endoscopic procedure for you.

Who Is a Candidate for Endoscopic Spine Surgery?

Your doctor may recommend endoscopic spine surgery if:

Checkmark inside of a blue circle

Nonsurgical treatments (such as pain medication, physical therapy, steroid injections, and nerve blocks) have stopped working or are not right for you

Checkmark inside of a blue circle

You are not a candidate for more invasive surgeries (such as spinal fusion), or a smaller procedure will suffice

Checkmark inside of a blue circle

You have undergone surgery, like a fusion, but are still experiencing pain and/or other symptoms

In diagnosing your condition and identifying the best treatment, your doctor will consider imaging results, your medical and treatment history, postoperative goals, and other factors. Discuss with your physician whether you are a candidate for an endoscopic spine procedure.

Medial Branch Transection

Medial branch nerve transection (MBT) may be the option for you if you experience back pain that limits your activity level or quality of life. It can be performed on patients who have had unsuccessful treatments or surgeries in the past.
